She also recognized the important role of Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce and the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) in promoting Thai content internationally through initiatives such as Thai Night, participation in the Cannes Marché du Film, international co-productions, and global networking opportunities.

DITP Director-General Sunanta Kangvalkulkij highlighted Thailand’s ambition to become a creator of original global content supported by skilled creative talent, modern production infrastructure, and attractive government incentives.

Thailand continues to strengthen its position as an international production destination thanks to experienced film crews, diverse filming locations, and cash rebate incentives of up to 30 percent. From January to March 2026 alone, Thailand hosted 162 foreign productions, generating more than THB 1.18 billion in local spending. In 2025, the country welcomed 546 productions contributing over THB 7.7 billion to the national economy.
